When I am writing this post, the price of most vegetables dropped significantly. I mean when two or three weeks ago prices of many essential vegetables/spices were very high. But the scenario was not the same today. Today potatoes, onions, tomatoes etc are available at a very low price. Many farmers are worried due drop in the price of such vegetables. In fact, two medium-size cauliflowers are available at Rs 10. I do not know how they are actually making a profit. In fact, the storage cost of such perishable vegetable is very high. So when supply increases suddenly and demand is almost the same then drop in price will definitely happen. But here I will share the vegetable price list for the month of December 2020 in Kolkata, WB, India.
This is the price list of vegetables what I experienced in Kolkata and its nearby area, particularly, at our local market.
