Soy potato salad recipe
Preparation time : 2 hours
Cooking time : 15 min
Serves : 2-3 people
Ingredients
- Potato – 1 medium size (cut into small cubes)
- Onion – 1 medium size (finely chopped)
- Cucumber – 1 small size (chopped)
- Tomato – 1 large size (chopped)
- Capsicum – 1 small (chopped)
- Vinegar – 2 tsp
- Soy sauce – 2 tsp
- Red chili / mirch powder – 1 tsp
- Salt – according to taste
- Sunflower oil – 1 tbsp
Method
- Take finely chopped onion in a bowl and soak in vinegar for 2 hours
- Boil potato and capsicum in a cooking pot for 5 minutes
- Heat a fying pan and add oil to fry potato for 3-4 minutes
- switch off flame and add soy sauce & red chili powder and mix well
- Take all vegetables in a bowl & add salt and mix those vegetables
- Now add potato cubes in that bowl and mix that before serving
Additional tips
⇒ Serve it with hot potato cubes, add residual oil (mixed with soy sauce and red chili powder) on the top of salad and serve with other main dishes
⇒ You can add chat masala (special Indian spices mix) in this soy potato salad
⇒ Do not over cook or under cook potato otherwise soy potato salad will not taste well
I make this soy potato salad very often and it is good with rice and roti both.
- Potato – 1 medium size
- Onion – 1 medium size
- Cucumber – 1 small size
- Tomato – 1 large size
- Capsicum – 1 small
- Vinegar – 2 tsp
- Soy sauce – 2 tsp
- Red chili / mirch powder – 1 tsp
- Salt – 1.5 tsp
- Sunflower oil – 1 tbsp
- Take finely chopped onion in a small bowl and soak in vinegar for atleast 2 hours
- Boil potato cubes and capsicum slices in a cooking pot for 5-6 minutes
- Heat a frying pan and & sunflower oil and fry potato cubes
- switch off flame and add soy sauce & red chili / mirch powder and mix all
- Take all chopped vegetables (cucumber, tomato, capsicum) in a bowl & add salt and mix those vegetables
- Now add potato cubes in that bowl and mix well
- Serve with hot fried potato cubes
