Kolhapuri bhadang masala with tea

Ingredients
  • 100 gm puffed rice/murmura
  • Handful peanuts
  • 10 garlic cloves
  • 20-25 curry leaves/kadi patta
  • 2 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp chaat masala
  • Pinches of asafoetida/hing
  • Black salt as needed
For garnishing
  • ¼ cup finely chopped onion
  • ¼ cup finely chopped tomato
  • ¼ cup farsan/sev, optional
  • Handful chopped coriander leaves
Instructions
  1. Heat oil in a kadai/cooking pot, add garlic cloves (mash with your knife before adding), curry leaves and peanuts and cook till peanut cooked perfectly
  2. Now add hing/asafoetida, red chili powder and stir for next 1-2 minutes, then add puffed rice/murmura/kurmura and switch off fire
  3. Now add black salt & chaat masala and mix with puffed rice and keep it on the on the oven for next 3-4 minutes to make puffed rice crispy
  4. Now pour it in serving bowl and add some finely chopped onion, tomato and coriander leaves, add some farsan/sev if you want and serve
