Raita
Most popular north Indian side dish. It works equally good with rice and roti. Though being a Bengali, raita was not something that I have tried in my childhood. But it is something that I tasted in Delhi where I was working a few years ago. Raita has become my favorite when I enjoyed chole chawal with boondi raita. It was my favorite weekend lunch for months. Raita became one of my favorite side dish when I tried butter naan with chole, dal makhani and of-course 2 tablespoons of boondi raita from a roadside stall. I often used to to have my lunch from that stall. It comes at Res 25 for a big size butter naan, chole, dal makhani and boondi raita. That raita was not good enough in taste but still, I used to enjoy raita a lot with hot butter naan.
