Nothing is better than healthy & delicious pancakes in breakfast. If you want to have those delicious pancakes every morning then there are some ingredients which you need to have in your kitchen inventory. Though there are various types of pancakes what you can make at home for your breakfast but there are only a few basic ingredients to make pancakes, traditional fluffy pancakes.
Basic ingredients to make pancakes
All-purpose flour: Four is one of the primary ingredients to make pancakes. You may use any kind of flour of your choice but if you want to follow traditional old school fluffy pancakes then you need refined all purpose flour (maida in Hindi). Though you can use a combination of wheat flour, all-purpose flour, oat flour, corn flour or you can pick any one of those flour. Flour is a most basic ingredient to make perfect pancakes.
Sugar: Though many people like me prefer different types of pancakes and try to bring a different taste in pancake but it is normally sweet in taste. I mean traditionally it is preferred so. That means you will need sugar to bring sweetness to your breakfast pancakes.
Baking powder: So you need fluffy, soft pancakes then baking powder becomes essential.
Vanilla essence: Vanilla essence is not a compulsory thing to add to fluffy pancake batter but it is generally added to make traditional breakfast pancakes. But you can add any other flavor of your choice to make it tastier according to your taste.
Milk: Milk is one of the important ingredients to make pancakes. But if you are vegan and do not want to add animal milk then you can use vegan milk or simply avoid milk.
Eggs: Non-vegetarians usually prefer eggs to pancakes because eggs help to make it spongy and much tastier. It also helps to add protein to your breakfast.
There are so many other ingredients (vegetables, fruits, dry fruits, mayonnaise etc) which are needed to make specific pancakes.
