If that food is traditional then you can share the information about the region where that food belongs to. When you are describing such things you must show your writing skill to create an image of the food with words.

Every food has a story, similarly, every food blogger has his own story to tell his readers. It may be something happened in the past or few words from him in a pensive mood. YUM pictures mean pictures where food look much more delicious and yummy. Most of the time such YUM pictures draw the attention of first-time visitors of your blog. More professional pictures mean more referral traffic from social media and other websites.
Though taking professional pictures are not easy to do, it will take the time to learn and you can realize such gradual improvement of your photography skill in near future. You will definitely need some photo editing tools (like Adobe Photoshop etc) to give some professional touch to your snaps.

4. Write recipes in simple words
Most of the time when readers are just interested to read recipes they directly jump to the recipe section. So you should NEVER PLAY WITH the recipe part. It is better to KISS, I mean KEEP IT SIMPLE & SHORT (not stupid, ha ha). So that nobody needs to read the recipe twice to understand what you actually did. USE simple words and a short description. If you want to describe something further then write in a separate NOTE section. It is always advisable to use a recipe plugin to add a professional look to your recipe part.
5. Find some X factors
X factor is an unknown factor what you do not make intentionally but still, it happens because you have adopted that skill. This may be the TONE what you maintain throughout the writing or some hilarious stories of your life what you have shared or your flawless writing skill. It can be anything beyond these what came in my mind and so I mentioned here. Find some X factors within you and do some trial and error and check what your readers will like most. But remember whatever you will do DO THAT HONESTLY.
