Tomato onion soup, fresh soup with onion and tomatoes

Ingredients
  • Tomatoes / tamatar - 3 medium size, paste
  • Onion / pyaz - 2 large size
  • Ginger / adrak - 2 tsp, paste
  • Roasted cumin / bhuna jeera - 1.5 tsp, powder
  • Red chili / lal mirch - 2 tsp, powder
  • Soy sauce - 1.5 tsp
  • Lemon juice / nimbu - 1.5 tsp
  • Butter - 1.5 tbsp
  • Salt - as needed
  • Water - 2 cups
Instructions
  1. Add butter in a cooking pot and heat for 2 minutes
  2. Add tomato paste to cooking pot and fry till it releases oil
  3. Spread salt, roasted cumin powder and red chili powder over cooked tomato paste and mix properly
  4. Now add soy sauce and lemon juice to this tomato paste and stir continuously
  5. Pour water and stir to mix cooked tomato and other spices in water
  6. Now cut onion into long slices then add it to soup and let it boil for 7-8 minutes
  7. Switch of flame and pour soup in serving bowls or mugs / cups
Notes
Cut ripe tomatoes into pieces and remove seeds, now make paste in a mixer-grinder
